Michael Harvey designed Zephyr, his first typeface, in 1962, inspired by Georg Trump's lively Codex. This all-capitals design, with numerals and basic punctuation, was produced as a metal font in 24, 36 and 48 point sizes in 1966 by the Ludlow Typograph Company of Chicago. Zephyr was not named after a gentle breeze, but the Ford Zephyr he was driving at the time. years on, Harvey has revisited his design.
